Cora’s Story

Since late 2024, HELP has been actively supporting Cora in her journey towards recovery. Cora expressed wanting to overcome her addiction and work toward long term recovery. With guidance and assistance from the HELP Team, Cora was connected to Radius Community Health where she transitioned to an alternative Opiod Dependency Program which allowed her to apply for the treatment location of her choice.

In addition to medical support, Cora accessed stabilization services through the Salvation Army. These resources played a vital role in helping her regain stability and rebuild relationships. As a result, Cora has since been reconnected with her family and children.

A major barrier in Cora’s treatment plan was transportation, as her chosen treatment facility was in Calgary. HELP stepped in and was able to transport Cora to Calgary and ensure she was supported every step of the way.
